About Us
Samantha Makes It a Little Easier, (SMILE) is a nonprofit organization, founded in memory of its namesake, Samantha Trost, to honor her request to help other children like her. SMILE serves children impacted by life-threatening conditions who live or are treated in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
Our mission
SMILE’s mission is to enhance the lives of children impacted by life threatening medical conditions through education, encouragement, and empowerment.
SMILE Kids Program
Through our flagship program, the SMILE Kids Program, we provide children impacted by a life-threatening condition with assistive and adaptive equipment that is cost prohibitive but will enhance their quality of life, making life a little easier.
